A Whole Home Reimagined: Project Mohawk’s Transformation
After years in their home, our Project Mohawk clients realized they had outgrown the space. The kitchen felt small and closed off, with limited storage for appliances and bulk groceries. The living room was dated and disconnected, and the central stairwell separated the spaces instead of bringing them together.

Cramped and closed off, the disconnect between the kitchen and dining room became more apparent over time. Limited natural light only added to the sense of crowding, making the rooms feel even smaller. With dated 1990s finishes no longer aligning with the family’s needs or style, it was clear the home was ready for a modern transformation

Drawing on our experience with century homes, we approached the project ready to guide our clients through every question and decision. With a thoughtful and seamless renovation process, we delivered a finished home that perfectly reflected their vision, lifestyle, and goals.
The Transformation
We reimagined the main floor by removing unnecessary walls and incorporating open-back stairs, allowing the newly installed 9-foot windows to fill the space with natural light. The dated carpet in the living room was replaced with resilient wood flooring, complementing the panelling found throughout the home. The result was a bright, open-concept kitchen and dining area, perfect for family living and entertaining.
Upstairs, the primary ensuite was redesigned and upgraded with a standalone tub and walk-in shower, creating a luxurious and functional retreat.
In the basement, we added a game room, powder room, and family living space, making full use of every available corner of the home.
Smart home technology was seamlessly integrated throughout, modernizing the home while saving energy and enhancing convenience.
